In 1947 William E. Bloomfield and his wife Peggy started a laundry service company named WEB after William’s initials. What began as a couple’s dream to provide affordable laundry services to apartment dwellers, has grown into the nation's best and most trusted multi-housing laundry provider.
On 1/1/11, Web Service Company changed its name to WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems. And while our name has changed, our core business values remain the same. We are proud to be part of the legacy created by the Bloomfield family more than 60 years ago. Still a privately owned business, WASH continues in the tradition of pioneering advances in laundry room operations and delivering service excellence. With more than 40,000 locations, today it is estimated that over two million people do their laundry in a WASH laundry room every week.
Through the past six decades, we’ve not only kept pace with the changing times, we’ve set the pace. With early innovations such as secure collection boxes and non-resettable counters that we still use today, to widespread use of energy-efficient machines, smart-card payment technology and web-enabled remote laundry monitoring, WASH has played an integral role in bringing advanced technology and service to common-area laundry rooms.
With conveniently located branch offices throughout the western and midwestern U.S., our team of over 500 employees upholds WASH's outstanding reputation for accountability, integrity and customer service. WASH also gives back to the community through our "WASH Cares" program, contributing to national and local charities.
